Alpine Certified Man Space Contest
Eligibility: Contest is open to residents of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Alberta (the "Contest Provinces") who have reached the legal drinking age in their Province of residence by June 1, 2010, except employees of (a) Moosehead Breweries Limited (the "Sponsor"), their advertising and promotional agencies (including the independent contest organization), (b) bottle redemption centers, (c) packaging suppliers, (d) governing liquor commissions or boards in the Contest Provinces or any licensees authorized by such commissions or boards or other authorized retail vendors of Sponsor’s beer, and (e) members of such employees’ immediate families or persons who are domiciled with such employees. In these Contest rules, “immediate family” means spouse, same-sex partner, parent, sibling, and children.
No purchase is necessary to enter.
Conditions of Entry: The Alpine Certified Man Space contest (the "Contest") commences June 1, 2010. Entrants can enter by uploading a video or picture of their Man Space (“entry or entries”) to the website AlpineLager.com from June 1, 2010 until no later than 11:59 pm Atlantic Standard Time on August 31, 2010 (“Contest Closing Date”). To be eligible to win a prize, entries must be received by the Contest Closing Date. Six random draws will be held on or before 10:00 a.m. June 18, 2010; June 30, 2010; July 15, 2010; July 30, 2010; August 13, 2010, and August 31, 2010 (“Draw Dates”). Chances of winning depend on total number of entries received. Limit of one (1) Contest entry per eligible entrant.
Entries must be readily legible. Entries received that are mutilated, altered, tampered with, illegible, mechanically reproduced, incomplete, inaccurate, forged, irregular in any way, contain a nickname or fictitious name, contain any typographical, printing or other errors or otherwise are not in compliance with these Contest rules will be declared void by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, delayed or misdirected entries.
Prizes: Two (2) Grand Prizes (the "Grand Prizes") and four (4) Secondary Prizes (the “Secondary Prizes”) (collectively referred to as “Prizes”) are available to be won. Each Grand Prize allows an eligible entrant to have a photo of their man space taken by a professional photographer and featured on an out-of-home billboard in New Brunswick. Secondary Prizes, which include a leather recliner chair, television, bar fridge, and bar sign, will be awarded to four additional eligible entrants and will be delivered to the winner's place of residence. Entrants with eligible entries will receive an Alpine Certified Certificate plaque in the mail 4-6 weeks after Contest Closing Date. Each eligible entry received prior to the Draw Date will be eligible for each random draw unless drawn a winner at which time the entry will not be carried over to the remaining Draw Dates.
The Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted on an as-is basis with no substitution, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
Any costs or expenses associated with the Prizes not outlined as included above are the sole responsibility of the winner.
How to Win: One potential winner will be selected in each of six random draws, to be held on or before 10:00 a.m. June 18, 2010; June 30, 2010; July 15, 2010; July 30, 2010; August 13, 2010, and August 31, 2010. A random draw will be conducted in Saint John, New Brunswick from the total eligible entries received to the Draw Date. The selected entrant will be notified by email or telephone. Before being declared a winner, a selected entrant must first correctly answer without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited, mathematical, skill-testing question to be administered by email or telephone and will be required to sign a standard declaration and release form confirming compliance with the Contest rules and acceptance of the Prize as awarded. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted and the skill-testing question administered within three (3) business days, the Prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate entrant.
General: This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by the Contest rules and the decisions of the independent Contest organization which are final and binding on the entrants in all matters relating to the Contest.
The Sponsor reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify the Contest at any time.
By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and indemnify the Sponsor and the independent Contest organization and any of their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, agents, contractors, including advertising and promotional agencies and their respective directors, officers and employees, from any and all losses, expenses (including legal fees), damages, and claims of any kind in connection with the Contest or resulting from the acceptance, possession, or use of the Prize, including without limitation, any loss, personal injury, death, property damage, or claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.
All entries become the property of the Sponsor and no Contest correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants who will be notified by email or telephone. By entering the Contest, entrants consent to the use of their name, address (city and province) and/or likeness, without further compensation, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, in any publicity or advertising carried out by the Sponsor, unless prohibited by law.
The Sponsor is the sole sponsor of this Contest and assumes no responsibility for any failure of the Contest website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email entry to be received by the Contest Closing Date on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from accessing or downloading any material with respect to the contest or on the website.
Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify, from this Contest and any future Contest or other promotion conducted by the Sponsor, any individual that it finds or believes to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Contest Website; to be acting in violation of the Official Contest Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR OTHER EQUIPMENT OR TECHNOLOGY USED AS PART OF THIS CONTEST OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
By entering the Contest and submitting a Contest entry, entrants consent to the collection of personal information (including a participant’s name, address, telephone number, gender, birth date) which will be used by the Sponsor (and its promotional and advertising agencies) for the purpose of executing this Contest and to gather statistical information which is used to market its products and conduct consumer research. The personal information collected through this Contest may also be used by the Sponsor (and its promotional and advertising agencies) to distribute further information to Contest participants regarding its products. Also, you may opt out from receiving deliveries of any additional information forwarded to you by following the instructions accompanying such information.
The governing liquor commissions and boards of the Contest Provinces are not connected to this Contest in any manner whatsoever and are not liable in any way for any matter related to this Contest.
